BMW 650GS
Wednesday, July 30th, 2008This BMW motorcycle is the one I use most. I bought it in early 2006 with 500km and did ride it 12000km in between.
The decision for this motorcycle was taken because it is equipped by a catalytic converter by default, ABS is a low priced option and it is very easy to maneuver even if you are not sitting on top.
It has really low gas mileage of app. 60miles/gallon or 3.7liter/100km. I did serveral tours in the central Europe area (Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Austria and Czec Republic
NSU LUX
Tuesday, July 29th, 2008Occationally I use this NSU LUX build in 1954. My father in law bought it at that year for appr. 1400 DM and used it for many years to go to work on a daily basis.
Honda CX500
Tuesday, July 29th, 2008This is the CX500 I owned for a couple of years. I sold it in 2006 with appr. 200.000 km.
The previous owner visited almost every country in western Europe. He placed stickers all over the motorcycle. After removing all these stickers the originally blue paint didn’t look very nice. I decided to repaint all the parts in yellow, polished the aluminium parts and the exhaust pipes.
